In connection with 58th National Library week the institute celebrated NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK ON 14 November 2025. The programme is inaugurated by Prof. M. Komal Reddy, Registrar, KITSW. All the Head of Departments, faculty and students were participated in the programme.

In this connection, Central library has conducted book exhibition on 19th November 2025. The Chief Guest V. Krishnama Charya, Grade I: Library Assistant (Rtd.), Faculty Member Dept. of Library & Information Science, Kakatiya University, Warangal has inaugurated the program. In the book exhibition nearly 1000 latest titles were displayed.

The chief guest presented certificate of best reader award to students and faculty as well.

Central Library, KITSW organized “Librarian’s Day celebration” on the occasion of 133rd Birthday of Padhmasree Dr. S.R.Ranganathan 12th august 2025 at Central library. The programme started with the offering of floral tributes to the portrait Dr. S.R.Ranganathan by the chief guest of the programme of Prof. K. Venu Madhav, Dean Academic affairs and assisted by Dr. K.Indrasena Reddy, Librarian.

Dr.K. Indrasena Reddy, Librarian at Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW), has been conferred with the National Best Librarian Award by the Madras Library Association (MALA), Chennai said by the Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy. On the eve of 133rd Birthday day of the father of Library Science Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, at a meeting held at Anna Centenary library in Chennai on Sunday (24/08/2025), the President of MALA Prof. K. Nithyanandam honoured him with the award for his significant contribution to the field of Library and information science field, Commitment to the library profession, and digital library services in academic institutions. With over 28 years of professional experience, Dr.K. Indrasena Reddy has played a key role in modernizing the library infrastructure at KITSW and promoting research and academic excellence through innovative library practices.

A one day Workshop on “Enhancing Academic Excellence: An Introduction to the Knimbus Digital Library Platform”. (Sponsored by Knimbus Online Pvt.Ltd.,New Delhi) was conducted on 24/01/2025 by Central Library, KITS Warangal for the benefit of
students of CSE 3 year students.

A one day program Workshop on “Seamless Research with IEEE Xplore: Accessing the Future of Technology”, (sponsored by IEEE and in collaboration with EBSCO Information Services India Ltd.) is conducted on 08/01/2025 by the Central Library, KITSW to the Students.
